Those who join the volunteer Communicators Community, or CC, will gain and improve on skills such as:
• using UNAC/UHCP-provided tools such as email and text message blasts
• running local affiliate and chapter accounts on Facebook, Instagram and/or TikTok
• telling stories and capturing photos and video to post and share during local actions—or in coordination with the UNAC/UHCP Communications Department to share on UNAC/UHCP social media
Extensive training will be provided.
Build relationships with coworkers by:
•   recruiting and supporting spokespeople within local union membership
•   leading a local team of stewards and activists who share responsibility for capturing media and posting on different social challenges
•   finding members in your chapter or affiliate who are interested in amplifying local collective action and campaigns, and other forms of digital organizing
Accomplish communications goals that will strengthen our UNAC/UHCP affiliates and chapters because:
•   you are an integral part of sharing the UNAC/UHCP story with fellow members and beyond
•   you advise and suggest social media projects with UNAC/UHCP headquarters
•   you will help shape messages we share with local officers and other key activists
