We’re Halfway There
This week we secured significant improvements in patient care across five of our six local agreements. Late Thursday night our bargaining teams, with the exception of the pharmacists, resolved their non-economic issues. The pharmacists continue to bargain today.
However, we have not reached agreement on wages, differentials, benefits and other economic issues. These issues will be taken up in national coordinated bargaining on Sunday and Monday at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel near LAX.
The patient care improvements we won will ensure that Kaiser Permanente remains the best place to receive care.
To maintain Kaiser Permanente as the best place to work, however, we must resolve our outstanding economic interests to our satisfaction, in solidarity with our partners in the Alliance of Health Care Unions.
If necessary, we will take further collective action to make that happen.
We will do whatever it takes to win a strong, fair, just contract.
