A union may not regulate the contents of campaign literature it is asked to distribute and may not require that it be permitted to read the literature before distribution. The union may not censor campaign literature in any way, even if the literature includes derogatory remarks about other candidates. A union’s contention that mailing certain campaign literature may constitute libel does not justify a refusal to distribute the literature since the union is under a legal duty to distribute the material.

Pamela Spinner

For Officer at Large

Hello, My name is Pamela Spinner BSN, RN currently your 2018 Contract Specialist for KPRNA and steward for 3 years. It has been an exciting year for me as your contract specialist with our contracts and all the hard work that was done. It has been a year of learning, working and meeting many members along with other ancillary departments. I’ve worked to improve better staffing on our Telemetry department by having petitions signed and delivered to senior management. I participate in RN Committees and present staffing objection data to management. I’ve had the privilege this year of being a delegate for the 2018 UNAC/UHCP convention in Anaheim. I am currently a relief charge L&D on nights and also participate in UBT and Labor Management Council. I’m a UBT sponsor for Maternal Child Health (MCH) departments. I have been with Kaiser since 2002 and am looking forward to serving as your Office At Large for 2019 and 2020.
