A union may not regulate the contents of campaign literature it is asked to distribute and may not require that it be permitted to read the literature before distribution. The union may not censor campaign literature in any way, even if the literature includes derogatory remarks about other candidates. A union’s contention that mailing certain campaign literature may constitute libel does not justify a refusal to distribute the literature since the union is under a legal duty to distribute the material.

Darryl Drew de Haas, PA-C
Candidate KWHRNA Treasurer
DARRYL DE HAAS for 2019-21 KWHRNA Treasurer Two years ago, I requested your support to become your Union President. Today I ask for your Vote to become your Treasurer. To Form A More Perfect Union I ask you for the chance to improve the financial solvency of our affiliate, provide proper financial reporting and provide transparency of your managed monies. To Represent Members I will continue to be a Union Officer who is at the forefront of enforcing our Contract. To Protect OUR Contract Your Union Officers are a team, a force to be dealt with en masse when a member finds themselves in trouble with management. We have not won every fight in which we engaged, but we have fought every battle with our heart and soul. Your current leadership has chosen to stay together on the path of helping our union membership – your Vote guarantees that path will be successful. To Serve I ask for your vote and your support in electing me your next Treasurer. I ask for your participation in your Union’s election by Voting. I am hopeful that my efforts to date have earned your trust and your vote to be your new Treasurer.
Kimberly Jackson, RN
Candidate KWHRNA Clinic President
My Kaiser nursing career began working in the Hospital and today I work in the Clinic. In the last year I have served as your Clinic Vice President and, moreover, became a ‘lost timer’ for the UNAC/UHCP State Office, filling in as the local Staff Representative, while Peter Sidhu negotiated contracts in San Diego. This experience has taught me that there is need for great leadership and the presence of a union officer at our medical center that has both inpatient and outpatient setting experience. During my time as your Union officer I helped our members in the Hospital as well as the Clinics. I ask for your Vote for Clinic President so that I may continue our team efforts to help our members understand their contract, defend their rights and help to work through their responsibilities. I have participated in every level of union leadership from grievance hearings to negotiations to leadership meetings and with your support will continue to work tirelessly to protect our contract, and help our members. I look forward to serving as your next Clinic President. Respectfully, Kimberly Jackson
