On September 19, our RN bargaining team met with management and reached three tentative agreements (TAs):
- Continued protection of our professional practice standards language to ensure that patient care issues are at the forefront of our union
- Improvements to our grievance procedure language under Article 8
- New language: We also reached agreement on a cap on length of time that nurses can be temporarily assigned to jobs outside the bargaining unit, but allow them the opportunity to experience a managerial position while protecting their union rights.
We had another day of great turnout. We have more strength at the bargaining table when RNs show up to stand up for our patients, our profession, and a better St. Francis. Come to our next bargaining session!
