UNAC/UHCP members from Kaiser South Bay, Kaiser Sunset, Kaiser Orange County, and Kaiser Downey teamed up with the AFL-CIO and the United Way to help make a difference in our community at the 26th Annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on May 12, 2018.
This volunteer-led food drive is the nation’s largest single-day event that spreads out across America to help provide assistance to Americans who are struggling with hunger.
Community members placed donation bags of non-perishable food on their porches. Those bags went from porches to post offices and hundreds of volunteers were needed at local post offices to load the donations onto trucks. UNAC/UHCP members stepped up and made a huge difference by adopting two area post offices.
