UNAC/UHCP Urges Employers to Protect Health Care Staff, Provide COVID Leave Benefits
On January 11, 2022: UNAC/UHCP, on behalf of our 32,000 registered nurses and healthcare professionals, called for employers to protect our health care staff and our patients through actions that include providing COVID sick leave, solving the staffing crisis with permanent solutions, and disregarding guidance that would force COVID-positive workers to come to work, risking their own recovery and new infections.
