UNAC/UHCP President Charmaine Morales, RN, released the following statement today in support of the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions’ planned strike:
Workers in Kaiser have been pushed to the breaking point and beyond by staffing shortages, with the employer unable to fill positions with current wages and benefits that the employer claims are above market rates. UNAC/UHCP RNs and health care professionals stand in solidarity with the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions as they move toward a strike at Kaiser Permanente. A two-tier wage system is unacceptable. We’ll see you on the picket line.
