Bio – Katherine Ward

I have proudly served the Los Angeles community for 33 years, including more than 20 years with Kaiser Permanente. Throughout my career, Education, Advocacy, Safety, and Transparency have always been my priorities.
At KP Bellflower with six years in leadership, I partnered with UNAC and UHW stewards,
working collaboratively to strengthen both patient care and staff support.
I transitioned into Epidemiology and Infection Control, and focused on protecting patients and staff writing and updating key medical center policies. I lead NEO sessions and rounding on the floors (Med-Surg, NICU, Peri-Op, and OR).
Returning to KP Downey OR. I currently contribute to Magnet-Resiliency Committee, serve as a UNAC Steward, supporting nurses and advocating across the in-patient arena. I went to Sacramento Rally for Solidarity and attended National and Bluebook Bargaining.
I am running as your KDRNA representative to Ensure Safe Staffing, Defending our Collective Rights and Protect Current and Future Retirement Needs.
Together We Rise—and Together We Win. I humbly ask for your Vote.
