Bio – Shannon Benson
| I am running for Delegate to the Executive Council. My name is Shannon Benson, and I have proudly served at Kaiser Permanente for 15 years as an ICU RN. In 2021, I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Azusa Pacific University, furthering my commitment to patient care and professional leadership.
I began my union journey as a steward before stepping into the role of 2025 Contract Specialist, where I have worked tirelessly to keep every member of KFRNA informed and engaged. To strengthen communication, I created a dedicated Facebook page to ensure continuity of information regarding bargaining and union activities. I have represented our Fontana family at multiple National Bargaining sessions, including traveling to Portland, OR, and participating in the Organizing Summit in Denver, CO. I joined UNAC leaders in Washington, D.C. to fight against Medicaid cuts, stood alongside our N.California siblings in Sacramento during their fight, and helped organize nurses in Michigan to vote yes for their first union. I believe every healthcare professional’s voice matters. I will ensure that KFRNA members are heard, respected and represented at the table. Remember, SB for DEC. |
