Bio – Lian Liu
| I have worked as a Registered Dietitian at Kaiser Permanente for over a decade, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My career has allowed me to care for patients and support my colleagues. In addition to patient care, I have served as Assistant Department Administrator in the Food and Nutrition Department at Riverside Medical Center, where I gained valuable insight into operations, staffing, and resource management.
Because of this dual experience—both as a manager and as a frontline union member—I bring a unique perspective to understanding and applying our contract. I know firsthand the importance of fair treatment, safe staffing, and strong advocacy, as well as the challenges management faces in balancing resources. Negotiations become much more effective when balanced with strategic thinking and empathy. I believe in collaboration, transparency, and ensuring that every member feels heard and represented.
