Bio – Marcos Tapia
| I am a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served seven years and multiple tours, including my last in the Middle East. After my service, I attended NYU for physical therapy and in 2022 moved from New York City to California to settle down and start a family.
I’ve been part of unions like AFSCME DC 37 and 1199 SEIU and have seen how strong unions improve working conditions. I became active in our union in 2024, taking on the roles of both steward and CAT captain to advocate for coworkers and support organizing efforts. I am honored by this nomination and, if elected, will represent our cohort with integrity and commitment. |
