Moises Alarcon, RN
Moises Alarcon, UNAC/UHCP treasurer, has been a registered nurse for more than 20 years. As an RN, Moises worked at Beverly Hospital and Kaiser Baldwin Park in different departments: Med/Surg, Telemetry, DOU, and the Emergency Room. A calm head during trying times, Moises has fought for the rights of UNAC/UHCP members as a union steward, contract specialist, staff representative and representation director prior to being elected to serve as a state officer. Before starting his health care career, Moises majored in business, and brings to bear what he learned as the steward of our union’s finances.
As a union negotiator, Moises has bargained major contracts for UNAC/UHCP, including Beverly, Chino Valley, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Kaiser Blue Book, KPCSP, Kaiser National, Maui, and Sharp Healthcare. In the 2020s, he was part of the team that negotiated historic wage increases at Sharp Healthcare, and worked to defeat Kaiser’s two-tier wage proposal during national bargaining in 2021.
